Milena joined the centre a year after she completed her Master in Cognitive Systems and Interactive Media from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain. She holds a Bachelor in Communications from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, USA. Her supervisors are Stephanie Wilson and Simone Stumpf from the Centre.
Investigating how tangible user interfaces affect motor skill learning, and more specifically how the metaphor expressed by the tangible object affects different motor skill learning, is the focus of Milena's research. Her objective is to contribute to existing knowledge of effects and benefits of TUIs for motor skill learning by providing insight into what the role of metaphor expressed by the tangible object plays in motor skill learning, how it affects the user experience, and how both can be improved.
